The project is located near Tehran’s high-traffic Sattary Road and completes a corner of the Shaghayegh Street block. In addition to a car park, a showroom and a sales office, the new multifunctional building also houses a residential unit. The organization and distribution of the rooms allow the interior spaces to adapt to multiple uses.
The project involves technological and spatial experimentation thanks to the use of precise construction technology. The use of a single material, perforated brick, for both external and internal walls, guarantees environmental comfort through a natural ventilation system. Moreover, the brick, perforated in the central part and integrated with cylindrical glass blocks, diffuses the light in the rooms.
On the outside, the building appears as a compact and material block, and takes on different configurations. In the evening, the holes let the artificial light through, highlighting the scanning of the structured elements that support the building.
During the day, the volume is compact and closed due to a system of movable panels, also made of bricks, that obscure the large windows. A building that stands out and distinguishes itself in the city of Tehran.
