The opening of the Middle East’s most important event in the design world is not far off: Dubai Design Week will be inaugurated on 8 November.

It is one of the most significant cultural events in the region and comprises the UAE’s leading design fair, exhibitions, installations, competitions, conferences and workshops in various creative disciplines.

This cross-disciplinary exhibition offers an opportunity to update on Middle Eastern design developments and can be considered the biggest architecture and design festival for the Middle East.

In order to provide impactful experiences for both design professionals and the general public, for the first time Dubai Design Week visitors can register to participate in more than 130 activities, from hands-on workshops and ceramic demonstrations to engaging lectures and industry masterclasses.

Of great interest is the format curated by Fatma al Mahmoud ‘Meet the UAE Creatives’ which will provide designers working in the UAE with a platform to explain their work, as also a series of special workshops such as ‘Paper, Plastic + Play’, ‘Fantastical Future Cities’ and others organized by Jojos Art House, all celebrating World Children’s Day with a unique and fun activity.
