COMPASSES is a Scientific Magazine of Architecture and Interior Design.

In our increasingly globalized world, the musealization of cultural landscapes and sites of artistic and archaeological significance goes beyond mere preservation; it is essential for enhancing the cultural and traditional identities of the places and communities they represent. Many exhibition and musealization projects have the power to unveil new meanings within this heritage, enriching its appeal and understanding while offering captivating contributions to architecture, museography, and design, which in turn engage visitors in a more meaningful way.

What role does architectural and museographic design play in enhancing heritage today? Which interventions effectively underscore the identity of the places where they are implemented? How can architecture and design strengthen the connection between cultural landscapes and archaeological sites and their surrounding environments?

With these questions in mind, the 43rd issue of Compasses will focus on design interventions related to cultural landscape and heritage, examining their potential impact on both present and future communities. We invite you to submit your paper by 20 November 2024 to the editorial committee.
